The repair is scheduled to start on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at 10 p.m. The affected area extends approximately 14 miles (on a 30 mile main) and will impact the communities of Shelby Township, Washington Township and The Village of Romeo Industrial Park.
Residents in those areas will notice a decrease in water pressure. However, as a precautionary measure, DWSD recommends a boil-water advisory until the repairs are completed. The repair should not exceed 24 hours.
Crews are working on the Easter weekend in order to minimize the impact on traffic and their customers due to spring break. Please drive slowly and pay attention to traffic control devices in that area.
