If you are an adult or teen in the Shelby Township area looking for a way to better your cooking, look no further than the Shelby Township Library. Aside from the array of recipe books available at the library, local Chef Jake Williams will be giving a presentation on Wednesday, February 10 at 7:00 pm. Jake Williams is a formally trained chef who caters his skills to the benefit of Michigan communities. He works primarily for Gleaners Community Food Bank, providing nutritional education to low-income residents in a program called “Cooking Matters”.
At this presentation, Chef Jake will teach you the art and science of cooking through lecture and demonstration, including tips and pointers for maximizing the flavor of your own dishes. So, if you’re a food connoisseur, or just looking to tantalize taste buds and create flavors to savor, stop by the Shelby Township Library next Wednesday night and expand your culinary repertoire.
