Glow Run for the Macomb Special Olympics

Cherry Creek Golf Course is hosting a Night Glow 5K Run/Walk event on Saturday, April 16 with proceeds to benefit the Macomb County Special Olympics.

The event begins at 7 p.m. with registration for adults, a “Kids Run” at 7:45 p.m. and the 5k at 8 p.m. Participants will use flashlights, glow tubes, and other items to navigate the golf course at night. Cost of participation: $25 through April 12, and $30 after April 12. The cost for the “Kids Run” is $5 or $10 with a shirt.

Jingle Bell Run promises jingle bell fun

jinglebell The 6th annual Jingle Bell 5k run is fast approaching, and there is always room for people to join in on the fun.

The race begins on Sunday, December 13 at 9 a.m. sharp.The start and finish line will be at the Shelby Township Community Center at 51690 Van Dyke, Shelby Township, MI 48316. Registration starts at 7 a.m. in the back of the Community Center Building.

Entry fee for race day is $25.00 per person. An online registry for the race will be linked below.

The race will start behind the Community Center Building. No need to fear about the cold, there are plenty of room to check-in, and plenty of warm rest rooms.

Overall awards will go to the top male/female, master male/female, and senior male/female. There will also be medals to the top three in each age group.
