Dance the night away with jolly Saint Nick and friends

It’s time to you and your family to dance the night away with old Saint Nick, Mrs. Claus, and all of their friends.  A Dinner and Dance with Santa Claus is on Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. at the Cherry Creek Banquet Center, located on 52000 Cherry Creek Drive.

Come and rock around the Christmas tree with festive DJ music. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph the Reindeer, and Frosty the Snowman will be attending as well and will be happy to meet with your children. Enjoy a tasty buffet dinner that starts at 6:30 p.m.  Children will receive a small gift when they attend. Remember to bring your camera and your holiday spirit for this fun occasion.

No tickets will be sold at the door for this reserved seating event. It is recommended that you order your tickets early before this fun occasion is sold out. Tickets, if they are not sold out, will not be sold after Dec. 1st. No refunds will be processed after Dec. 1st. For attendees that are ages five and up, price to attend is $20. Children four and under the price is $7 per ticket. Non-residents must add $10 per family member.

Teen Halloween Party at Shelby Township Library

it'saghostTweens and teens from 5th to 12th grade are invited to come together for a night of games, stories, and much more at the Shelby Township Library’s Teen Halloween Party. The event lasts from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Shelby Township Library located at 51670 Van Dyke Ave. The Teen Halloween Party will have various games, snacks and even a costume contest.

“Our new Youth Librarians, Bethany and Jennifer, have been working on offering new and unique programs to kids of all ages.” Library Director Katie Ester said. “We hope our teens will be creative with their costumes and bring in some fun and spooky surprises for us.”

Prizes will be rewarded for the most original, scariest, and the most crowd-pleasing costumes.  So come on down and enjoy some spooky surprises, and wear your best costume.

Senior Halloween Party at Shelby Township Senior Center

Halloween 016Want to get in on some spooky and exciting fun at a party this October?  Then come down to the Senior Halloween Party, it starts at 11a.m. Oct. 15 at the Shelby Township Senior Center on 51670 Van Dyke Ave. Attendance is $6, tickets must be purchased in advance. A nutritious and delicious lunch will be provided to all that attend. This year, a secret and hilarious new entertainment is planned for the attendants.

“We decided to give something completely different this year, but it’s sure to give a laugh.” Senior Citizen Coordinator Amy Drake said.
